Promotions, the Lifeblood of Your Business

June 16, 20242 min read

Promotions are the lifeblood of any Business, driving traffic and boosting sales.

In all my coaching and consulting sessions, I always emphasise the importance of weekly promotions.

And every month you need a ‘Big’ promotion – one you’ve put significant effort into.

Promotions provide content to market your business, creating stories that drive traffic - a business without activity is a business without footfall.

Inspiration for crafting promotions is all around us.

Consider leveraging:

·      Sporting events

·      Calander dates

·      Festivals

·      Celebrations

Currently, it’s Fathers Day and the Euro’s have just started.

Recent Events have featured National BBQ Week, World Gin Day and World Beer Day.

Looking ahead the Olympics in Paris are at the end of July and last year in the UK we celebrated the King’s Coronation.

We’re surrounded by inspiration for weekly promotions.

And you can craft your own promotions, highlighting products and services you have a reputation for.

Over the years, I’ve celebrated specific products such as Scotch Eggs, Sausage Rolls, Pork Pies and Sausages.

What celebrations could you craft in your business that could become an annual event that people flock to you for?

The objective of running a promotion is to drive traffic to your business - to drive sales.

Each promotion must have a compelling hook, which doesn’t have to be price-driven. Value can be showcased in many ways beyond price.

Finally, ensure you promote your activities, so your customers are aware.

Market your business, your products, and your events consistently and rhythmically.

Emails and Social’s should be top of your list.

Make sure your team are talking to your customers about everything that’s going on too. This is the activity that leads to a busy business.

And a busy business always gets busier.

Get your promotional calendar out and start planning your weekly activities to drive the growth of your business.

And if you need some help with it, why not get in touch?

Have a great week.
