This week, I had an interesting comment on one of my posts.
Someone suggested that instead of offering bits of guidance with the option of coaching, I should just help people fully for free.
And on the surface, that sounds fair enough.
But it got me thinking…
After years of working with food businesses, I’ve realised something:
Most people don’t struggle with what to do.
They’ve got ideas.
They’ve listened to podcasts.
They’ve read posts, watched videos, and picked up plenty of tips along the way.
The real challenge?
Actually putting it into practice – consistently - in the middle of a busy working week.
Running a shop, managing staff, dealing with customers, juggling stock…
That’s where good ideas tend to get lost.
And that’s the gap.
It’s not more information that most businesses need.
It’s support, structure, and a bit of accountability to actually make things happen.
That’s why I share what I share—to give you practical ideas you can use straight away.
But it’s also why coaching exists.
Because knowing and doing are two very different things.
Something to think about this week…
What’s one thing you already know would improve your business—but you’ve not quite got round to implementing yet?
Have a great week.
