This weekend I’m golfing in Girona, Spain, with my mentor, business owner and entrepreneur Nigel Botterill.
Quite fitting, as last week I made a bold move.
I enjoy making bold moves.
They can be exciting.
They can be challenging.
They can be risky.
They can be nerve-racking.
They can be scary.
Not for everyone, I get that.
Like all bold moves, I’ve had to dig deep this week to stand any chance of pulling it off.
And, to help, I’ve drawn on some things I learned from Nigel that I thought I’d share with you.
The first is: ‘If it’s to be, it’s up to me’.
All bold moves require bold actions.
And in life, we can shape our future through the decisions we make.
By taking actions to propel us toward our goals.
Nobody is going to do it for you.
Many people will talk about ‘doing it’, but very few actually do it.
They will give you one hundred and one reasons why something didn’t or won’t work out for them.
But the truth is, if you want to make a bold move, it’s all on YOU!
You get to choose.
That’s what I did last week.
I decided that ‘If it’s to be, it’s up to me’.
It inspired me and spurred me on to take a risk.
To take a chance.
I could hear Nigel saying it in my head.
Nigel also taught me that ‘Money Loves Speed’.
Once I decided I was making the move, I moved.
No messing around.
Fully committed.
Quick, quick, quick.
When you move with speed, you move with purpose.
Speed puts you ahead of the game.
Ahead of your competition.
It impresses those who matter.
Success is attracted by speed.
And in turn, money is attracted by speed.
Yes, you have to apply thoughtfulness and accurate thinking.
But you must act fast.
Never forget, success loves speed.
Most people take way too long over things.
And consequently, they can miss out.
Make it happen.
That’s what I’ve done this week, and that’s what I’m encouraging you to do.
Something to think about, perhaps.
Have a great week!
